Back From the Edge
After the longest stretch of agony with a toddler, tonight we had pay off.
As we were doing the nightly ritual ...
Me: Say 'Night-Night' to Daddy.
HDToddler: Nigh-Nigh...tah!
Me: Say 'Night-Night' to Mommy.
HDT: Nigh-Nigh ..tah!
Me: Say 'Love You' to Daddy.
And USUALLY, nothing. But tonight?? he said it!! He said it back and I got all teary-eyed.
I tell you ... it made all the battles for the dirty diapers and new clothing changes today a little easier. It just melted me.
