SAFE HAVEN LAW
Oh, I find this law so very important.

I'm a huge supporter in Colorado (read: in touch monthly with those who passed this and spread the word to the community) and will always be.

This story features my high school girlfriend's husband ... a firefighter at the station where the baby was delivered and left to be taken good care of. He's not happy with the attention for himself, but it's imperative for those who are in this situation to know this is a very real and safe option for their babies.

Granted, this law came into effect about the time I had my son. Within MONTHS of having him, two women left their full-term babies in trashcans --- one in a bar trashcan. This hurt me to the core. This is an OPTION. Within 72 hours of having your child, you can relinquish your baby at a fire station with no penalites, no questions asked. You can give at the very least THIS gift .... ?
